Just watched a rerun of the 2000's series Las Vegas with Tom Sellick. The episode included a poker game where one player lost their stake and bet all in with an 1895 Morgan. She Lost the hand and the coin to Tom, who promptly filled his last Dansco hole.

I started watching Billions this past weekend now that I get Showtime with my Paramount+ subscription.

In Season 1 Episode 10 "Quality of Life" Chuck comes home and finds his dad there. He says he found his Indian Head penny collection. It looks like it is in the old style blue Whitman album that did not have removable pages.

In Season 1 Episode 12 "The Conversation" Axe and Lara are in their basement vault and there appears to be gold bullion coins on the shelf behind them. There is also a shot where he is handling gold bars in plastic pages.

There is an episode of Little House on the Prairie, I believe it was called "The Richest Man in Walnut Grove," where Charles has hit some hard times and all the family pitches in to help make ends meet. Toward the end they are all pooling their earnings for Pa to count, and in the pile of money you can very clearly see a worn Morgan dollar and some Seated coinage. It's a bit of an irony because the episode takes place a couple years before the Morgan was introduced.

Today is actress Julie Newmar's birthday August 16.

Julie Newmar's first credited film, using the name Julie Newmeyer, was the 1953 film "Serpent of the Nile".

She was a dancer and appeared in a scene where Cleopatra (Rhonda Fleming) proposes an alliance with Mark Antony (Raymond Burr).

Antony asks Cleopatra if she has the money to support an alliance and she shows him the money.

In the Seinfeld episode "Male Unbonding," George goes to the bank with a jug filled with 6,000 pennies.

George: Can you change this into bills?
Bank Teller: I'm sorry sir, we can't do that.
George: Look, they did this for me before!
Bank Teller: Look, I can give you these and you can roll them yourself.
George: You want me to roll 6,000 of these?! What, should I quit my job?!
