Keep fishing, AllSeasons... sometimes the all copper, non-wheat cent rolls can be fruitful in their own right. I've found many of those over the past 7 1/2 years and they often have included lots of "S" mint coins and or Uncirculated coins.

Quote: I also found 4 customer rolls that were 100% copper yesterday (no Wheat Cents). They're not as cool as Wheat Cents, but I'll take them! Excellent! Quote: I've found many of those over the past 7 1/2 years and they often have included lots of "S" mint coins and or Uncirculated coins. Bonus!

On Friday, I got 20 customer rolls that a nice teller at our local branch was saving for me. Some of the rolls were pretty dirty and in those old pink wrappers, which is always a good sign. I've done 4 rolls so far, so they are all copper! Every single one of them. There was only one Wheat cent, though, 1944, if I remember correctly, and one Canadian, 1966, if I remember correctly. So while these won't be Wheat cent rich, I'm thinking most of them will be 100% copper, which I still consider to be a nice find. Will report back if I find anything interesting. Cheers!

Building rapport with tellers definitely has its benefits! I like to pull "S" mints and high grade coins from those rolls, even if they're not Wheat cent rich... BTW, make sure you invest in a small scale to weigh your rolls... if they're all copper (and not missing any coins) they all should weigh in the neighborhood of 155-156 grams.

One time when I was searching a full box of pennies, I found 156 or 157 Wheaties, all from one box. Mostly common dates, but I'll take it still! To this day, I have never found more than that.

Nice! My wife a few years back brought home 52 solid rolls of wheats, and two solid rolls of steelies. She was in banking for 15 years.
