Im new to this stuff but I believe I've got a near perfect 180 degree rotation on my quarter. Please tell me if I'm just an idiot but I couldn't find any other similar coins to mine.

@laz, first welcome to CCF. Second, could it be that for US coins, the orientation is different compared to the coins from most other countries (including the UK)? Maybe compare this with another US quarter.

This is normal for U.S. coins. Here we use what is called a "Coin turn" or alignment, While U.K. coins ( and U.S. medals are struck as "Medal Turn" or alignment.

It is coin strike and from Mint tolerances the 2.5% Deg it is acceptable for that year. Recognized rotated coin start with 5% for US coins.

US coins use what's called "coin" alignment, where the obverse and reverse are rotated 180 degrees (i.e. flipping it sideways will cause one side to be upside down, but flipping it end over end will have both sides right side up). If your coin has both sides facing opposite directions when flipped end over end and the same way when flipped side to side, then you have a genuine rotated dies error. Otherwise, you do not.
