Hi everyone, I bought a box of 1000 mixed denomination coins at an Estate Sale. In the box I found this coin. Could anyone please tell me if this is an error coin.

Yes someone has tried to simulate an error on this quarter, but that is damage.

You inadvertently diagnosed it correctly. Stamped with another coin is exactly right - not the die, but the coin itself. This was done after the coin left the mint, as the mint is not mashing coins together in a vise.
