Hi!

Was considering going to this show as I found a very inexpensive flight from my locale to Boston. On their website http://www.baystatecoinshow.com/ , it indicates that I can get a free car ride from the airport to the venue. I believe they have been doing this a while. Has anyone taken advantage of this? Feels generous and/or unlikely but would make the trip more convenient for me.

Also, if anyone has any opinions about the show I would like to hear it. Their online presence is spare.

@drdn, I fixed your hyperlink to go to the Bay State Coin Show website and will move this thread over to the calendar subforum. You might consider dm'ing one or more of the folks mentioning that they were going last year on one of these previous threads:

Thanks kindly for moving me. I was debating posting in this forum vs not.

I actually emailed the organizer and he will reimburse for up to $65 for shuttle/rental/taxi. Car rental is only $80 so this a solid deal.

Hello!

I know nothing about the free car ride, but this is the one show I try to attend every year (and have been doing so for over a decade now). Generally, the show has been very good, with a decent amount of currency and bullion dealers in addition to strictly coin dealers. Usually they have dealers with foreign and ancient coins as well, if those are your thing. It's not the hugest show in the world, but they fill an entire ballroom and usually have a few extra side rooms as well.

Hi all, hope this isn't off-topic but maybe better than starting a new thread. I want to go but it's a 1+ hour drive, is there any way to know if certain coins will be for sale there, the website has no details at all. In particular I need the earliest US coins (1793-96), plus a few colonials and early golds. Would be great to know if I have a chance of finding some of those.

No show website will ever have details of individual dealer's offerings. Best you can do is find the list of dealers (some shows publish this) and ask the dealer if they will be bringing X.
