Just a tiny die chip. This is a die event, not an error, and one this small is well within normal mint tolerance for die wear. I personally wouldn't pay above face for something like this.

It's a die chip. Not really an error, it's a 'Die Event.' It happens as the die is used to strike thousands or even hundreds of thousands of coins.

It seems like die chips are common on the new quarter designs.
