assessing any coin in a holder is difficult at best but nothing you can do about it here. its difficult to see what marks on the holder and which ones are on the coin, I think the photos are about as good as you can get. I'm with coinfrog. MS62RD pretty close to 63. the field discoloration and marks are probably holding it down a tad

The 4th photo shows two significant hits on the cheek. If those are on the coin I'm going MS62, likely RD but maybe RB.

It is hard to say for sure without a close-up of the designers initials, but it looks like you may have DDO Snow-2.

By that I assume you mean the "L" HumblePie. Looked at it with a 60x and it's not doubled. I'll do the reveal tomorrow night. I think you'll be surprised.

...and the winner is - nobody. I thought Red too, which is one of the reasons I got the coin - buy the coin, not the holder, right? I had a nice 1909 IHC that I had put on this site that nobody liked - beautiful coin that had been dipped. Got a good price for it at auction and put that money and some more towards a slabbed coin.

Congrats on this one.
I was thinking 63 but admit I was swayed by more experienced collectors.

I tend to forget that the graders don't usually look through a loupe or enlarged images, so "hidden" ticks and nicks aren't as obvious.
When you revealed the grade, I went back to your images and reduced the images to get an idea of the coin close to the actual size.
I can see the 64 grade when doing that.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

i think your original photos are showing a lot of flaws on the surfaces. I cant see how this coin got an RB designation. everyone here called 62 or 63RD. I would not crack this one out and try for an RD. I just cant get this coin to a 65 on any day of the week.

Yeah, looked RD for me as well, but I'm going to leave well enough alone. Bottom line is that I liked the coin.
