Here is my favorite Lincoln Cent for Die Cracks, A 1983 P. This coin has 7 Die Cracks on the reverse starting at the left of the Memorial roof. Two Die Cracks to the letters T & E of United. Going next to the left foundation, there are two very light lines (counted as one Die Crack) going to the rim. Next there is a strong Die Crack from the rim to the O of One. Continue to the N & E of One and the C of Cent going to the rim is another strong Die Crack. Continue to the right foundation is another strong Die Crack to the rim. The last Die Crack is a light one from the right roof to the I in America across to the rim. As usual nothing to see on the obverse. The two prutrusions by the T in Cent are Zinc bubbles not Die Chips, I have included pics of all for your inspection, tough to see so I lighted them to see them. Let me know your thoughts and regards!

Nice Die Cracks. Also, there's die polishing lines on the obverse and reverse.

From my experience it seems like die cracks were somewhat common on early 80's cents.

How many coins have 7 die cracks. Not many! The 1983 has a lot more die cracks than any other year I have seen.

I think the coin is showing remnants of Clashed Dies. The line that runs out of the top of the Memorial on the left where the roof joins looks like a clash from Lincoln's back, but slightly misaligned to the West.

That could also account for the heavy die polish marks.
