ebay seller & buyer here ... Out of over 2000 transactions, I've had many more satisfying transactions than bad ones overall, but the bad experiences taught me many lessons ...eBay started with mostly honest people enjoying the mostly novel experience of trading in such a manner ... in the beginning, you were unlimited in what you could say about any given transaction ...
no restrictions on feedback, both buying & selling ... this allowed one to get a "feel" for the seller & buyer ...
...didn't take long for less than honest folks to realize opportunities to take advantage of others ... now-a-days, it's an open market for thieves, & as a buyer, it's up to you to do your diligence ...
...& talking about honest mistakes ... I had to edit my auctions to accept returns ... don't know how the "no returns accepted' got checked ...
...research the sellers ... if they have negative feedback, read & analyze the feedback to see if the complaint is legit (sometimes the complaints are not legit)
...contact sellers & judge their responses ... look at what they sell, look at their past sold & completed items...
...some sellers are just plain crooks, & some are innocently unaware of what they're selling, & can be overly enthusiastic in their descriptions ... some honest sellers just make mistakes, with no malice intended ...
...
Know what you're buying ...ignorance on your part as a buyer isn't the seller's fault ...
...the coin market is full of fraud on
ebay, but many other markets are as well ... do your dilligence, be careful & have fun ... there's plenty of good folks out there ...
