So, it's my understanding that there are no silver nickels other than the wartime nickels. I have a 1939, I believe, no mint Jefferson nickel that I just thought I would test. There are four different reactions each representing silver content. If I did the test right, which I did several times all having the same outcome, the test did come back as having silver content. It was the lowest content amount but content nevertheless. Has my kit deceived me or am I just high?

Interesting. Please post full, large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse. An accurate weight--to two decimal places--will be useful as well. Thanks.

1939 no mint Jefferson nickel He is a bit light but he did test for the lowest silver content. .800 was his best chance in the green zone. Most likely it's operator error.
