Elizabeth I Hammered Crown - Coin Community Forum

Aitch New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 07/23/2023 11:08 am Hello Could anyone please give me an opinion on this hammered coin. I believe it is an Eliabeth I Crown with a cross crosslet mint mark so 1560-1561. It weighs 21g. Is it genuine though? I volunteer for a local hospice charity and deal with coins that we get donated. It's usually left over travel money but occasionally we get some valuable coins. However, I have no knowledge of hammered coins and suspect this is a fake, but I'd hate to miss out on some much-needed funds for the hospice if its genuine. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
