I found this 1982 D Washington quarter in my last bankroll of quarters. I really like this quarter's look. Fields and script are clean and I think for a circulated coin it is a real survivor! It does show wear but I will keep it. Obviously I am not positive it is a Mint State coin but in searching my current quarters (I have two hundred or so) I did not have one that looked as good. The Reverse is better than the obverse but for a circulated coin it's good. Let me know your thoughts and as always regards.

Nice find! That's a relatively rare year for quarters in mint state.

you've got the excess reflectivity under control, but these images look like they had been saved with high jpg compression, then reloaded and resaved with less compression

for example, I can resave one of your images with high compression, which reduces its jpg file size by 80%, then reload it and it looks no different than your original image

the excess compression loses details needed for grading, your coin does look MS though

same problem, are these original jpgs, or loaded/saved one or more times? the resaving process hurts image quality

i think the new shots are way better but there is still glare from the light source you're using. nice reverse strike. the leave edge definition is really good

the coin looks MS based on these. MS63 and possibly 64. surface preservation looks good, however we still cannot determine what if any luster is remaining due to the glare

I'm thinking strong MS63.
