I read that the filled mm is not rare that nonfilled are in different forum. So this one isn't filled in and compared to other D mm's this one is smaller. It's the quarter in question on top then 2 to show how small compared to

There is no mm on quarters that is "rare". As far as smaller, maybe the strike was softer or grease.

Quote: Heard If You Find Mints With Holes Is More Rare. Please explain this because I do not understand what you referee of. Your MM's show are normally one. The difference it is in the stage of the punch. As the Dies has stages of life the MM punches also. Nothing out of the normal with your coins.

If you read all that post, what Clad say and also I think was ART also is covering complete other topic.
When you read an explanation of Clad or Art or mine there, you has to read all the narrative and not only a few words.
If the members want I will ask (disrupt) Clad and to come to explain his own words.

Apologies I am brand new to coins, clueless to say the least. I'm posting asking if there is significance, I read the whole thing. Its a different language to me, I read google the lingo words. So I thought this forum was to help. And seems like everyone wants to shoot me down for asking questions.

sounds like you have not compared your coin to other 1973-D quarters as I'd recommended
if you had you would find the mint mark on your coin is the same size as that on the others
comparing multiple examples from the same year will help you learn what is normal for that date

Are all the three quarters, in the image comparing MM's, from 1973?
Check out the link Halo1st shared and you will see different MM's were used over the years.
