This is a 1918 Lincoln Wheat cent that upon cursory examination appears to be a double-struck coin, although it is not. I'm posting this as a test for newcomers to see if they can tell me why it is not an error coin. I'll reveal more about it after a couple of days. I already know the answer, but I won't say. I'll keep that for the newer members to figure out.

But you're a champ, Errers. I will admit that determining the date was not easy.

I'll hazard a guess and say its a Stretch Strike.

Naw, not a Cud, while they will always involve the rim, they will also be raised higher than the field because of the void created by the absence of part of the die.

Yea I realize it is not a Cud but on ebay it would be. Did some one put it thru a metal press, since it is thin, manually scribe a cut line the heat the outer portion to give that gas bubble effect. The reverse looks like it has metal flow lines out to the extended portion of the coin (stretch marks). This is a cool tread more people should try to answer. I do not mind being ignorant that is why I am here to learn

Hey Hondo, How about an edge on image of this to show how warped (bent) or not it is?

Big hint. This should give you all of the information needed to pass the test.

Looks like a railroad coin, I am guilty of doing similar, just not wheat cents.

Dearborn, it lays almost flat with reverse down - very little warpage.
