It is odd looking here, can someone please post up an overlay? (I sure with I could do it myself - any tips on how that is done?)
Done.
To make your own overlay...
Find a high resolution image of the coin you need and download it to your device. (The US Mint is a great source for images.
https://www.usmint.gov/news/image-library I also use PCGS Coinfacts
https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts )
Use an image editor that can put a transparent layer over the original image
Put the image of the obverse and reverse side-by-side.
Make a layer copy of the obverse and the reverse and reduce the Opacity by 50% (approximately)
Working with each layer separately position the transparent layer over the base layer.
You need to FLIP (horizontally) and ROTATE (180°) the transparent layer for each side of the coin. If the clashed coin you are checking looks to be misaligned or rotated, you can adjust the transparent layer to match (this is optional.)
Finish processing the image by adding a background color and texture (I use a red/patchwork pattern) Add any text, shapes or arrows (this is optional)
I also use the 'Drop Shadow' filter so that the image has some depth and the coin appears to stand above the background. (this is optional)
Adjust the final image size and quality to meet the CCF 300K limit
Feel free to use any of the images I've posted by copying the proper format/path/image instructions that were in my topics or replies.
You can also send me an email request for overlays if you like.
