From the pics provided, it would appear to be a minimum of high AU and possibly even MS. On the obverse the breast area seems a little flat but the right leg and knee doesn't exhibit any wear. Those are the high points of the design which would wear first. I am thinking the flatness of the breast is strike weakness. On the reverse the high points of the design are the talons and the upper edges of the wings. Again I am not seeing wear on those high points but the arrow fletching and eagle's leg show flatness. This I also attribute to strike weakness. I'd have to see the coin in hand to make a decision on grade.

I can see MS62 to MS64. I can't get a good feel for the luster or fields. I'm at a tentative MS63

Poor strike. I'll say MS-63, possibly 64, but not a fan, nothing that would ever interet me.

i cant get it over MS63. I'm with MisterT on the actual coin assessment i guess it depends on which TPG graded it. it could have been given 64 which imo would be overgraded

In hand the luster is a little more chrome-like, but otherwise the pics are faithful. Soft strike, zero wear. It's actually a great coin to help one learn to distinguish between the two. Still, it's an MS63 any day of the week. MS62 would need more distracting abrasions, and MS 64 would need more detail, especially in the stars & feathers.

unless its the lighting the coin exhibits broken luster on the fields which typically would keep it out the 64 range. I'm thinking due to the limited number of surface marks they bumped to a 64. it could have went either way. congrats on the grade.

The right obverse field seems to show friction and luster loss. If judging from these photos I'd have said AU-58. Once you get over the MS line the clean fields and lack of contact marks would be compatible with an MS-64 grade.
Soft detail at Liberty's breast and on the eagle talons looks like strike weakness.

This one looks properly graded.

Surface preservation is actually quite nice which accounts for 40% of the grade. I have points deductions for below average luster and especially for the weak strike. If I were buying, I would argue MS-63. 64 is a stretch.
