Not sure on how it got damaged, but if didn't leave the U.S Mint like that. No errors, just damaged. PMD.

Looks like mechanical damage to me too. @clw, can you please add a closeup pic of the mintmark (and Abe's eye). It may be nothing or you might have something a bit interesting here. Thx.

Appreciate the close ups, but not seeing much more at the moment or what I had thought originally. Flattening from circulation makes it hard to tell. Thanks, Doug.
