@jen, I think that what you are saying is that there is a small rotation error between the two sides of this quarter. A really nifty way to show this is by taking a picture of the coin in front, but slightly off to the side, of a mirror. That way you can see both sides at the same time. For reference, when we talk about a mis-aligned die, we are not referring to rotation, but rather translation, so one rim will be thicker and the other rim will be thinner to the point that the letters can start to fall off the edge.
