I just recently acquired 2 1969 canada dollars..One weighing at the usual 15.62 grams but the other one is 15.38 grams..i looked everywhere for almost 2 weeks (4 different search engines, RCM, heritage, canadacoins, talked to droves of coin collectors, even asked 3 different AI bots) but no one knows anything about a variation in weight its magnetic and as far as I can see no visual differences between the coins..it has to be a different planchet ( but the only planchet error I can find is a silver 50 cent piece planchet error ) or its not 100% nickel..im hoping no one in the world has one and its worth tons but if anyone knows anything id appreciate hearing about it(also if anyone knows if I can post a bigger picture somewhere onsite I can show it on the scale)

Welcome to the forum , a variation of .25 grams on a 15.5 gram coin is less than two per cent. I would think this is well within mint tolerance.
