Barry, I love your Princesses!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Great gold hoard, barryg! Are you planning a gold type set (7070)?

Really nice to see some gold being posted! My fave so far is that 1910 Half Eagle. The design is iconic and I think one of the best in US numismatics.

Quote: Well, I have the Page 6 Gold page for my 7070 album all filled (along with a couple of extras) if that's what you mean Right. So the coins you show here are from that set.

Quote: So the coins you show here are from that set. You are correct, fine sir! I actually do have a physical 7070 album with the gold page filled, but the digital version I linked to above contains the two extra "Princess" coins that the album does not have holes for. The rest of the coins I will be showing, however, are not from that (or any other) set.

Quote: My fave so far is that 1910 Half Eagle. It is awfully nice, I agree. My favorite will always be the Saint-Gauden Double Eagle, however. As far as I am concerned, it is the undisputed King of Coins (at least when it comes to U.S. currency).

If I ever won the billion dollar Mega Power Ball lottery, I think I would have to seriously considering filling up my basement with Saint-Gauden Double Eagles just so I could dive into them a la Scrooge McDuck.
