Is This The Small Date 1982 D Penny?

Kaysma New Member United States 29 Posts	Posted 08/01/2023 11:04 am I have a penny that I think looks like the 1982 small date penny. I am new to coin collecting but I realize this probably isn't it. Could someone tell me why this one isn't the small date so I know what to look for? Report this Post to the Staff

Dearborn Moderator United States 95200 Posts	Posted 08/01/2023 4:35 pm yes, a small date cent, if it is 'fluctuating between 2 and 3 grams, then I'll venture a guess that it will weigh at 2.5g, which would make it a zinc coin.
