Found this in a Loomis roll last week, pretty sure it's just a slug. About same thickness as a zinc but slightly smaller diameter.

to the CCF!

Do you happen to know the weight?

It does have some of the characteristics of a Type I blank, but something about it just seems off.

I see a seam on the edge. Does a type 1 blank have a seam?

I agree with @yoko that a weight would be super helpful.

Is it attracted to a magnet? How much smaller than a struck cent?
It appears to have a proto rim, so could be a type 2 planchet. Being 'slightly smaller' give it room to expand during the strike.
But we need more information:
1. Weight
2. Dimensions
and
3. Is it attracted to a magnet
Just for starters.

I see what appears to be remnants of the Lincoln Memorial between the 2 horizontal scratches in the second photo. Could just be Pareidolia.
