Kinda apocalyptic looking. Not sure if this type of coin is collectable or just an oddity but I sure like it.

Am I seeing doubling along the bottom of the building and can anyone identify what's at the top of the T, C and E in MontIcello they look to uniform to be die chips.

It is caused by a very worn-out die. No added value, collect if you like.

It was struck with a die that was used in producing far too many coins. The coin shows metal flow lines that had eroded into the die. These can sometimes look like a starburst pattern on the coin. This die was in really bad condition by the time your coin was struck.

It's not really collectable but being as your coin is in such bad shape, I would put it in a 2x2 and keep it. It's a fantastic example of die erosion!

I agree with John1. A very good example of a very worn out die.

I'd keep it. A great example of a very late die state with severe Die Deterioration.
