I don't have a scale to weigh it or the expertise to confirm. Can you experts give me an opinion. I'd really appreciate it

We need to know if it is copper or zinc - there is no way around that. Compare it's weight to a known copper cent (pre-1982) and do a drop test. You should be able to figure it out.

Much larger photo of the obverse, especially the date/mm is also useful.

Then report back.

you have the small date but as @nickel said you need to weigh it to know if it is the coin that everyone is looking for... It need to weigh 3.1 or around that, if the coin weigh 2.5 its not the big one.

I'm pulling for you Snoop... there are many ways to determine it's approximate weight even without a scale comparative to a known zincoln.

Yes, we need a n accurate weight to know if it is copper or zinc. Larger up close images may help too.

You can make home a Fulcrum scale. Put any cent before 1982 on one side and your coin on the other. If almost balance mean same material. Other test could be the gravity test. Here an photo of artisanal fulcrum scale:
