I know I am on varieties and error forum, but those coins are direct or indirect involve.

Narrative: Yesterday night I was to an auction (4 times a year, Phil, NY, TX and CA) This was in CA and it is "Sized proprieties". Come from Vaults, sized proprieties or abandoned houses.

From where come we do not care, but the prices sold for the coins astonish me. Ok for Liberty Silver after 2004 at 100 or 110 if someone want fulfill the collection. The Morgan's I do not argue at 100 to 120.

But all circulated IKE no one MS at 100 to 110? This it is my question: why the IKE go so high? Only one from 40 IKE's was possibly Type 2.

Any thought on this?

My guess is that there were collectors, not dealers, at the auction.

I attend unclaimed property auctions in Florida put on by the state. They are from bank safety deposit boxes that have been unpaid for two years.

The Lincoln Cent lots that I bid on had reserve starting bids of $50-$80 per lot (+- 700 Wheats and +- 50 Indian cents).
The reserves are calculated at 5c for each Wheat cent and $1 for an Indian cent.

The lots were selling for $350- $400 per lot. That is 5 to 7 times the reserve amount. I think most lots went well over the reserve.

Personally, I believe it is collectors like myself that attend a lot of these auctions, as opposed to dealers who have to resell at a profit.

Thanks Petespockets55,

Make sense what you say. The auction I told is relative close. You has to be approve and many K's reserve for you. It is astonish for me this.

Same auction has many, many originals pictures, many Vuitton, Precious stone on very rare jewelry and not to say Rolex, and another rare watches. So the market sky rocket.

On this auction you can not so submissions because must come from agencies or Gov. If was OK to submit I will push all my IKE's (around 300)

I hear you, but this thread belongs on the main us forum and so I'm going to move it there.

Nick, have you considered that English is not Silvio's first language? He does much a much better job with his posts than I would were I posting on a non-English site.

I know when I reply to a post in a foreign language I use a translation app or program.
I have no idea how clearly my reply is translated.

It is entirely possible the app is inadvertently creating confusing replies.
