Hello all.
Has anyone seen any 2009 Denver or Philadelphia nickels or dimes in circulation yet? I've been checking my change but nothing yet.
When do these things usually appear in the new year?

From my experience, Lets say the 2008 nickels and dimes didn't show up untell late 2008 and into early 2009 now. And still, I've only seen a few of the 2009 nickels and dimes.

Haven't seen any 2009 production coinage in circulation in Michigan yet.

I have not seen any 2009 coins in circulation. On March 5, 2008 I received the first box of 2008 Jefferson nickels. Looks like all are late this year. |

Haven't seen any '09's of any denomination in circulation here in Oklahoma yet either. Not sure of the reasons myself.

I nothing in Chicago as of yet. Still looking for 2009 cents, dimes and nickels.

I just found my first 2009 cent in change yesterday. How are these being referred to these days since LMC does not really fit? Edited by Texas Trader

I found a 2009 25c about a week ago here in the Midwest. It was the District of Columbia. I still haven't seen any of the other denominations yet for 2009.

The only 2008 coins I have found are all five Statehood Quarters and the Cents, all Philadelphia. I have not seen any 2009 coins.  |

My bank has said they will not get any 2009 Nickels....... Don't know why.....I'll have to "cull from circulation" for any of them myself. |

I know that 2008 was a low mintage year (after $60 worth of nickels I still have less than a roll of 2008s) and I'm willing to bet 2009 will see the same thing.  |

I expect to see a few here in a couple years. Most rapid turnaround here for the past couple years has been on the State Quarters and I just saw my first Hawaii this week, just four months or so after they came out. I've seen one 2008 nickel so far. Haven't seen a 2008 dime yet. |

I just pulled two 2009 dimes from a roll I got at the bank today. Still no nickels.
