I got these Peace dollars at an auction this weekend. The dates are 1924 (2), 1925, 1926 (2), and 1935. I paid $27 for each. They had several more going for $25 to $28 for each coin. They were sold in lots of 5 and 6 coins at a time.

They also had these 2 Indian Head Gold coins at the auction, but passed on both.

Melt is $18.35 so you did well. The coins look AU/BU and not culls.

YoJoe - I think you made a great purchase! The coins are real nice and you can't beat that price. Does this mean you're going to start collecting the whole series? Have you had a chance to look them up in the Red Book to compare value to purchase price? Jack

Jack316-I have not looked at the Red Book, but I will. I did look up the mintages and they seem to be common dates. I have several Morgan's and Peace dollars but at this time not planning on collecting the series. Thanks

Nickelsearcher, those look like screw-tightened bezels which do not damage the coin.
