Approx diameter 20mm.

try taking the picture from further away so that it is in focus. diameter and weight don't hurt either.

Possibly a notgeld issue, or a token?

Thistle (chardon) was used in Lorraine, but maybe other places too.

I think I can see VINCENT in the middle of the non-plant side, but I'm not very confident. I tried a Numista search and didn't find anything relevant.

A less glare-filled photo would really help; it looks like there's quite a lot of legible legend, especially on the thistle side, but I can't read much of it on these pics.

I think I can read 'Laitier de Neuves-Maisons' which means 'Dairy of Neuves-Maisons'.
Neuves-Maisons (literally 'New Houses') is a town in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in Eastern France:

I can't find it online. My guess is that it could be an advertising token or a 'monnaie de necessite' - a kind of notgeld issued by many French towns during and after the First World War.
