It's a Greaser, I have a few like this. They are fairly rare IMO, I search a lot of boxes and I've only found 3 like this.

I have several of these from 1995 I got in a mint bag. They each have a different die crack on the reverse that shows they came from different dies. I also have a bunch of the coins from the same dies that are normal and show no sign of the die fill.

This is a composite of the cracks on 3 different coins that have no grease to show the cracks are the same.

So how does this grease get on the die's anyway?

Its a machine. It has to use grease to cut down friction. Grease may transfer from one thing to another and ends up on the dies. It prevents the planchet from shaping into the devices on the die, leaving the coin with out devices in that area.
