As I said no writing on front only back and it's shiny on the obvious places. The face and front edges and only building on back.

That would be PMD someone sanded down both sides of that nickel. It looks like they spent a litomore time on the obverse side than the reverse.

I see a damaged coin likely someone ground/sanded away the details.

While there's no way to say what caused this, it's just Post Strike Damage (PSD.) Chances are that when it left the mint it was normal. To verify that it's just damage, check the weight. I think you'll find that the coin is well under the target weight of 5 grams.
