In between the size of an old silver dollar and a Kennedy half dollar. Any help would be appreciated... Report this Post to the Staff

This coin appears to be a 1585 Spanish Netherlands Idaal coin of King Philip ll, 1 daalder. Does anyone else know anything about these coins? Report this Post to the Staff

I agree with your research that it is from the Spanish Netherlands, but not so sure on the denomination. Please tell us the diameter and weight of this piece. My coin is 34.5mm approximate and 15.5 grams. I'm sure there were discrepancies in diameter and weight when they were minted. Could this be why there is a variation? Report this Post to the Staff
