I know it's a bit early to be posting this but I'm curious as to whether anyone else may be seeing the same on their coins.

Received 5 2023 Peace and Morgan proofs today and while examining for defects I found a peculiar thing about all 5 of the Morgans on the reverse.

Each wing has a pixel sized bright spot in the same location on each wing. Looks like a spot that didn't get frosted and shines like a little diamond. Again, all 5, same and in the same locations.

Pictures are best I can get with my camera. Please open in a new tab and enlarge if needed.

Could this possibly become a variety and if so, should I submit to Coneca?

Your comments are appreciated.

I had the same problem on my two Peace dollars. The reverse is missing cameo in the same exact spot. One large spot with missing cameo and two smaller spots that are not noticeable until you look at them from a different angle.

This is interesting - The mint does have a history of having coins missing the frosting. that part is all computer driven and etched into the dies.

Your might have seen the post I made about my Morgan obverse in Liberty's ear. Seems like the same type of "fault", if you can call it that. I will look at the Peace dollar I have for this. But yes it's hard to get an image of. In person it's very easy to just tilt the coin around in natural or artificial light.
