1940-D Nickel Need Help - Coin Community Forum

jipa Valued Member United States 267 Posts	Posted 08/15/2023 09:58 am hi. looking at henning nickles without loop in r and found out that there is a marker that was found on a 1953 henning nickle between the e and n in cents it looks like a dot so maybe there are more out there with markings like this that could be any where on the nickle I think maybe I found one 1940-d dot on front it sure looks the same but maybe maybe not see what you think there is some damage on coin too Report this Post to the Staff

Also, for Hennings that don't have the looped letter R, there is a die chip above the left corner of Monticello rather than a divot. I'm not seeing that on your nickel.
