hi. looking at henning nickles without loop in r and found out that there is a marker that was found on a 1953 henning nickle between the e and n in cents it looks like a dot so maybe there are more out there with markings like this that could be any where on the nickle I think maybe I found one 1940-d dot on front it sure looks the same but maybe maybe not see what you think there is some damage on coin too

@jip, while not all Hennings are overweight, that is a good first test. What does your nickel weigh? Also, for Hennings that don't have the looped letter R, there is a die chip above the left corner of Monticello rather than a divot. I'm not seeing that on your nickel.

the weigh is 4.9 thats all I can see no chip on left corner of monticello just that one mark. on the looped r it has that mark on top of the e and n in cents

The bottom of that article shows where the die dent is located to authenticate Henning nickels that do not have a damaged R.

Yours is not the same position. Sorry.
