Dear fellow members,

I am very excited to be a part of the collective of numismatic enthusiasts. I myself am not a numismatist yet, as I started doing it about a week ago, after a lot of thinking. My grandfather liked to collect old bills, post stamps and antiques in general, so maybe it is a natural way of things for me to start collecting myself. I am a big enthusiast about the Roman Republic and Roman Empire from my early years. My first two pieces are a bronze follis (AE3) of Constantius II mint Arles (between 337. and 363.) and a bronze follis (AE2) of Constantine the Great, London mint (between 316 and 317). I was born and raised, and educated in Osijek (ancient roman city of Mursa) where emperor Constantius II fought in the Battle of Mursa in 351. against the usurper Magnentius and his forces.

I would love to hear your thoughts about the Constantius II. coin, which I bought for 30 euros :) I have a ton to learn, which I am extremely excited about, as I feel that one life is not enough to learn everything there is about history of the era and about these beautiful artifacts frozen in time.

I hope we all have a great time here

Best,
Matko (Maddock13)

, Matko.
Nice to have you join us. We've got some members who are specialists in Roman Imperials. Perhaps some will be along to say hi.
