Hello, my name is Tessla. I'm a 32 y/o mother of 2 daughters from Olympia WA. I just started collecting star notes that are within the first 10K of any run or series. I have a note thats never been graded that I could use some help learning about. Its a 2013 $1 San Francisco Star Note L00006662* Low Serial Number Only 80k Run..RARE? Or nah?
I will post a photo of it, thanks to any and all for feedback! I appreciate the help! I'm such a noob lol.

Spender for me.

Even if had a relatively sought after serial, the condition is pretty bad.

Welcome to CCF Tessla.
Cool find. If you're collecting from circulation, it's definitely a keeper. Most modern star note collectors prefer uncirculated notes but typically pay to obtain them. Because of condition, I wouldn't have it graded but I'd unfold corners and stick it in a Mylar currency sleeve. Let me know if you need some, I believe I have some lying around.

In summary - the order of star note rarity, most to least:

1. Star note print runs of 640,000 notes or less that happen to be the only print run for a specific series/denomination/FRB combination AND it is an older series.

2. A similar star note print run as above, except printed for a more recent series.

--> Here: 12,800,000 printed. 3. Star note print runs of 640,000 notes or less, where there are other star note print runs in the FRB.

4. Star note print runs of more than 640,000 notes. The larger the print run, the more common the note is. https://www.mycurrencycollection.co...ar-note-rare

According to Paper Money of the United States, it has a general value around $10 uncirculated although guide pricing and real world pricing can vary especially as a guide gets older and demand/supply changes over time. Since its circulated its not normally a keeper, but with the lowish serial and being from the low 80k print run, its worth keeping and will tend to always carry some value over face. https://www.amazon.com/Paper-Money-...p/0871845229
