Those look more Iike rim bruises rather than a clipped planchet to me.

I'm not so sure they are damage. I can see a small Blakesley effect on the reverse at E P and UNIT. Need full obverse and reverse in focus pictures. The edges look right. And the weakness of the strike at the clips.

Looks like a real Dual Clipped Planchet to me. Also, you need to hold your coin by the edges or wear gloves. You'll get fingerprints on it, and it will be worth less money. Fingerprints can't be taken off of the coin, unless it's soaked in Acetone, while they're still fresh.

to the CCF!

I think it's a double clip as well. The Blakesley Effect on the opposite rim from the larger of the two clips is a really good indicator that it's a real mint error, along with the smooth shear and break away texture in the clipped area on the edge. I would have said it was damage if not for the second set of images. I'm glad you posted the new pictures!

agreed, with the new images, I can see the 'Blaksley' effect much better. So I'll have to change my estimation of this coin.

I would say genuine as well.
The Blakesley effect is opposite the clips and the Smith effect is on the rims (interior edge of the rim flowing or curved towards the outside).
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
