Got this $100 bill from the atm and noticed it had some misalignment but then noticed it had some type of error with the security strip. It looks like it made the paper jam up when being woven into the bill. I've never seen this before and can't find any info on this kind of issue. Is this normal? Anyone else see this before? Should I get it checked out? Any help is appreciated! I've tried looking for anything like this on many other sites but haven't had any luck. I'll post pics to show what I mean.

Welcome to CCF.
We occasionally get threads about defective security threads in $100 notes. Peeling, flaking and even missing pieces. The problem is determining whether the trauma occurred at the BEP, which would make it an error, or afterwards. The OP's note has a minor security strip hiccup and uneven margins. Nothing that would make me consider it an error note.
