I'm a sucker for rim toning.

Ultra-common date, but I lived in Hong Kong long enough to place a premium on the number "8". Some of you know what I mean.

Scratches at 6pm reverse are on the slab, not the coin. There's some shadow on the obv pic that isn't really there, but there is a luster deficit on the cheek.

What say you?

Too much glare to see surface details clearly.

Can't agree. Looks pretty much exactly like the coin in hand.

Awesome coin! That reverse is so clean! Hard to tell between roller marks and actual marks on the cheek. I am going to say MS-65 from the photos. I wouldn't be surprised to see a MS-66 though.

strike is pretty much average which is typically seen on these. I'm not a toning person at all but do like a gold periphery toning. the issue is as the coin ages it tends to move towards the black and not very appealing. this one is starting that process

the cheek has a lot of chatter and missing luster. the reverse is quite nice. rev MS65 but the obv I believe is closer to MS63+ just too much scuffing plus the missing luster. at best i'd net it to MS64 but my gut says a higher MS63 coin
