Another odd one.
On the obverse of this 1924 penny, diagonally between the two T's in BRITT is a step down in the levels of the field.
Left side is higher than the right.
It starts at the rim beading and runs to the junction of the 5th/6th pearl at front of crown.
To get the full effect, the coin needs to be in hand, looking across at the horizon, but the pics certainly show it.
There is a scratch that runs across it and the deviation up slope is evident to me anyway.
On the flip side it coincides with the gap between COMMONWEALTH and OF
Any clues how this would / could happen? Or is it a figment of my imagination?

Cheers in advance.
I put in a sequence of pics to highlight any change in shadow.

I've seen this same error on other 1924 pennies.
Some sort of die damage I guess.

That's interesting to know. I'm surprised it hasn't been listed.
Cheers for the feedback.
