I know it's an error of some sort. thinking double struck on a different coin? I'd appreciate any knowledge you have to share. Thanks everyone.

Wish pictures were better but what I think I see is vise job on rev. and just damage on obv.

I'm with oddguy here - a vise job with a dime on the reverse and a flat plate on the obverse, or a hammer job.
