how do you go about getting uncirculated rolls from the bank do you just walk in and say do you have any uncirculated rolls of cents nickels etc. or do you just get lucky and they happen to give you an uncirculated roll when you want to do some roll searching.

i would like to get some rolls from the bank I just dont know how to go about asking.

The banks would only have unc rolls if the Fed gives it to them, so only for special issues like pennies, quarters and dollars. Otherwise, they're mixed rolls that are recirculated from the Fed. Even if it's a new production year, the mint would ship bags of these to the Fed, and the Fed mixes them with the current stock and then puts them out for circulation.

I ask for rolls and sometimes get uncir and sometimes circ. They give you what they have and it varies what they have.

Completely depends on if you know someone at the bank. Ever notice in stores how many rolls are all brand new. In banks most tellers really don't know what is in a roll but if both ends are new, it's a good bet the roll is all new. If you know a teller, have a relative working in a bank, your chances are pretty good. Remember there are millions of coin collectors out there with relatives in banks already. They have that little advantage over the rest.
My suggestion is if your single, find and marry a bank teller. You may not like the married life but you will be amazed at what a great coin collection you will acquire.
Downside is during a divorce, they will probably get that collection.
