Looking Opinions On 1864 2 Cent Coin, Mint Error Or Damaged

Rmk84 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 08/27/2023 09:43 am Hello, new member here. I am just wondering what people think might have caused this coin to look this way. I bought it at a flea market when I was around 10 years old, about 30 years ago, and I just always assumed it was damaged but now I'm wondering if it could possibly be a mint error. Rmk84 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 08/27/2023 10:13 am It is flat in that area on the opposite side and the color is a bit lighter in that area as well. Thank you for your response. I always assumed it was PMD as well but don't really understand how it could have happened or where the material would have gone. Report this Post to the Staff
