@hor, any chance on you providing a weight and diameter for this piece? It looks mostly like a game token or Spiel Marke at first glance.

Yes I absolutely can provide the weight and dimensions. To the best of My knowledge it is real gold.

These are not genuine coins, but "miniature replicas". Made in Mexico in the 1960s through to the 1980s, they were quite popular jewellery accessories at the time. I recall a local coin dealer here in Australia in the early 1980s having 8k gold miniatures of US, Mexican and British coins and was selling them for $8 each - which was cheap when the gold price spiked to $600/ounce or so. I bought one; it was my first ever "gold coin".

From what I've seen online, some are made of 8k or 12k gold, some aren't made of gold at all or just have a thin gold plating.

It looks a bit like a 1/10 oz gold eagle coin, but the features are way less distinct. Maybe a replica?

I have one of these that was included in a trade. Supposedly 14K (yeah right), 0.17g, 8mm. My phone wasn't able to take very good pics of this little thing. But even if the 14K is correct, that means this is 0.085g of gold or slightly over $5.
