Please help a newbie. This ended up in a coin collection machine at the bank where my wife worked. I've been unable to identify on my own. I believe it's bronze and possibly Roman, beyond that this newbie is too new. Please help identify age background and potential value, if any. Thanks in advance.

To get the speculation started. Might be AVREL upper left obverse. Aurelian?

Could be. The portrait seems about right. To answer the original question, it's definitely a Roman bronze antoninianus. To my eye, the reverse looks to be a VIRTVS MILITVM type.

So cool to have this turn up "in circulation"....

Portrait looks like Claudius II.
