I have come across a 1948 Franklin half dollar in my collection that has an error I have never seen on a Franklin before. I've spent many hours researching this error but have not found anything about it and was hoping maybe someone here could help me out a bit. The coin is a beautiful coin, but it looks like the coin got struck on franklins face with letters of "of America" that are struck in the reverse. I have some photos that I'll try to post. Thank you!

UPDATE: And no it's not tape or glue on the coin #129318;#127995;#8205;#9794;#65039;#129318;#127995;#8205;#9794;#65039;. There are letters struck on franklins face, three clear letters F,A,M. I'm after carefully observing the letters are shaped exactly like the letters of "of America" on the reverse. So I'm thinking the reverse strike was lightly struck on the obverse and that's why those letters are struck on franklins face. So was just seeing if anyone knows about this type of error. Obviously tape or glue is not on the coin otherwise I would of added that to the post, also if it was tape or glue I'm pretty sure struck letters wouldn't be the outcome to tape or glue lol also the rest of the coin is normal, nothing is backwards.

It could be scotch tape or even dried glue, but I agree that there seems to be something on the surface of this coin.

I can't see much of anything based on these photos. Please try to post a large full image of the obverse.
