I seen a penny on ebay graded by PCGS priced at over $500,000.00 that is real similar to the one I have. So I'm just curious as to why that one is so valuable and if it actually is and not just somebody foolishly trying to get rich then mine should hold similar value? Yes or No?

Looks like your coin was only struck once slightly off center with split plate doubling

Your coin was struck Off Center and shows Split Plating Doubling. https://www.error-ref.com/split-plating-doubling/

As far as that 1999 Broadstruck Cent goes, it's definitely not worth what they're asking for it. Broadstrikes are plentiful for 1999, and easy to obtain on ebay.

Yours is a nice find, worth keeping in a 2x2 for safekeeping, but you have not hit the lottery.

1inabullion,
You need to check ebay sold values not asking price. A person can ask whatever price they want, that does not mean the item is worth that amount. 1999 cents are known for errors and are kinda common.Your coin is nice, but split plating can start to rot in time.

It is sad for some people to cheat and take advantage of others so, always do research before buying a coin on line. You did a smart thing by coming here to ask questions.

You have a very nice off center strike, protect it and no you won't get rich off this one (and neither will the seller above either)

I have at least 10-1999 Lincoln Memorial cents with off-center and broad-stuck errors in my collection. Your coin is nice off-center, and worth a few bucks, but as noted, you're not going to get rich on this one.

We've already had a post on the half million dollar listing on ebay. It will never sell for that much. http://goccf.com/t/166229&whichpage=177
