I found this dime it has a rounded edge and is twice the thickness of a dime but smaller. Any insight would be appreciated.

Might be an early stage Dryer Coin. Whatever happen to the coin, it's damage. PMD.

Bward,

I think it is a Dryer Coin. I do not see anyone spooning a dime. Spooning a coin is a way to make a ring out of a coin and a dime is pretty small, maybe a pinky ring if anything. Also, spooned coins a lot of the time show little divots where the spoon hits the edge.
