Hello All, Here is what I know about this coin: 1. It passes the Sigma test. 2. It shows as a 90% silver alloy using an XRF. 3. The diameter is 32.44 mm. 4. The weight is 13.42 grams. Yet I still get a weird feeling about it. I would appreciate any insight - I am just wondering if they created counterfeits that are this "good" or if the coin is actually legit. Thanks for your help!

I see no indications that this coin is not authentic.

Genuine without a doubt. I have never seen a well made counterfeit of a Capped Bust half dollar yet. Cartoon-like contemporary counterfeits are everywhere but can be easily avoided with a little study of the design of the series. Basic overlapping of the edge lettering is very common, particularly with OR HALF. Try attributing the die variety to verify the authenticity yourself by using a copy of Overton or maibockaddict.com.

Already has an old fingerprint toning on the reverse where someone many years ago must have done.

looks good. I agree never handle a coin like that. you can see what happens when skin oil gets on a coin at K9 reverse
she looks like VF35 or XF40 range

I say XF40. looks like another fingerprint just left and above liberty's chest.
