Strange Coin!1931 Wheat Cent Pre Or Most Mint Damage?

AnomicMind New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 09/21/2023 5:07 pm First off I'd like to say I'm new to coin collecting and Thank You all for having me. This is my first post so I hope I did it right. So after looking through about $3 worth of Wheat Cents I came across this strange 1931 Wheat cent that caught my attention. My only real question is what happened to this coin and when? As you can see(I hope) there is what appears to be a large gouge running from the edge of the coin to around Lincoln's bowtie, however inside the gouge Liberty is still visible. Any ideas as to what this is? Sorry if pics are not good. Report this Post to the Staff
