...I know this coin's been around the block, has external damage & wear, ... I wish i'd found it in a BU roll, but...
...looking around the edges, obverse & reverse, there appears to be a good deal of (?) cudding(?) ...
...I didn't photo the rim, but doesn't appear that the coin was sqwueezed in the places where the Cuds appear ...
... thank you for any input, & if this coin's too worn to tell, I understand ...

It looks more like damage to me.

Yes mechanical damage on this one too. Here is a link to the cuds-on-coins page for Washington quarters to help you compare with a Cud:

You may get .25¢ if you try to exchange it - but you may incur a "re-stocking fee" and only get back .20¢ for your efforts..

...thanks for the eyeballs & thanks John1 for the link ...

...a friend / neighbor of mine passed a few years ago, leaving a 5 gal jar (half - filled) with pocket change from the last 40 years ... I went through it for his wife, finding a fair amount of silver, mostly dimes ... he also had a sack (filled by his mother 60-70 years ago) of silver ...halves, quarters, dimes & about 30 or so Morgans & Peace dollars... (wow)

...I cataloged & put anything of value, over face, into marked holders for her (the silver), then began the 2- month long task of searching the regular stuff for anything of value

...all of the error/problem coins that I have listed here came from that stash ...

...upon completion of my search, I had about 100 coins with errors/problems ... long story short, nothing of any particular value, as 99.9% of the 'errors' are common & no value above face ...

...however, looking on ebay, seeing incredulous prices for about 1/2 of what I'd found, I thought my buddy's wife had hit the jackpot ... turns out all of the ebay stuff was a fraud being run by the sellers ...

...I've learned a lot by posting here, & appreciate all of the comments & help I've gotten ... if nothing else, it's a great learning experience, & something I can enjoy in my spare time ...

...Thanks, again, for all the help, & I particularly enjoy the sarcasm ... John
